Transforming Lives: MyQura’s Community Impact Outreach in Saki, Oyo State
At MyQura Ltd., we believe that healthcare goes beyond medical interventions—it is about building relationships, inspiring future healthcare leaders, and providing compassionate support to those who need it most. This belief came to life in our just-concluded Community Impact Outreach in Saki, Oyo State, which was a remarkable success and the pilot for a broader initiative that will reach 10 communities across Nigeria in 2025.
Empowering the Next Generation of Healthcare Professionals
One of the key highlights of our outreach was engaging Grade 9 students in healthcare career mentorship. These young minds had the opportunity to learn about various healthcare professions, the impact they can make, and how they can contribute to improving healthcare in their communities. The students’ enthusiasm and curiosity reaffirmed our commitment to nurturing future healthcare professionals who will drive positive change.
Caring for the Vulnerable
In addition to mentoring students, our outreach program provided personalized home care services to elderly individuals aged 65 to 85 who required medical attention, companionship, and essential health education. Our team of volunteer nurses ensured that each individual received the care and support they needed, making a tangible difference in their well-being.
A Model for Future Outreach Programs
Saki served as the pilot location for our outreach model, where we appointed a nurse as the Project Lead to coordinate efforts, secure necessary approvals from community leaders and school authorities, and schedule visits to schools and homes. This model proved to be highly effective, allowing for seamless execution and meaningful impact.
Given the overwhelming success of the Saki outreach, we are thrilled to replicate this model across 10 more communities in Nigeria between March and November 2025. We will continue to identify and empower dedicated nurses to lead these outreach programs in their respective states, ensuring that healthcare support reaches those who need it the most.
Join Us in Making a Difference
The success of this outreach would not have been possible without the dedication of our volunteer nurses, community leaders, and supporters. As we prepare to expand this initiative, we are calling on more nurses, healthcare professionals, and partners to join us in transforming lives across Nigeria.
If you are passionate about healthcare, community service, and making a real impact, we invite you to be part of this movement. Together, we can build healthier communities and inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals.
